The BMS can never have too many Volunteers to help our dedicated staff to deliver BMS services and programs. If you are interested in volunteering to earn community service hours; work as a volunteer to establish work references; simply interested in helping others; looking to fill some of your time in a way that contributes to help people and the community, or; for any other reason contact the BMS for information on the many opportunities to help out. The BMS can work within your schedule, interests and capabilities to offer you a rewarding and enjoyable volunteer experience. Programs like the ones offered by the BMS cannot continue without the help of dedicated volunteers.
The BMS has openings for Volunteers who can translate, do office duties, be program assistants, be mentors, or be group leaders. As the BMS serves Seniors and new Canadians from a wide variety of ethnic groups, we are always looking for Volunteers who can be available on call and / or volunteers who can act as resource and outreach contacts within various ethnic communities in the language of those communities. Time to time, BMS has openings for qualified individuals to serve on its volunteer Board or various committees. The BMS has a policy to strive for a diverse representation on its Board and Committees, so the Nominations committee may be looking at variety of criteria from applicants, but all must be team players.
